On March 21, 2019, thirty-two participants gathered at the Archerwill Public Library to learn all about fraud and how they could prevent falling victim to the crime.
In a workshop geared for seniors, Constable Benzel of the Greenwater RCMP explained varying types of fraud, how to recognize it, and how to stop fraudsters in their tracks.
After the workshop, Constable Benzel stayed to answer questions from individuals who found him approachable, concerned, and informative.
The library provided all workshop participants with a free copy of
The Little Black Book of Scams
, a federal publication written for home study and reference (download and print a free copy here:

).
"The event was very successful," said Branch Librarian Robin Toews. "We wish to thank Constable Benzel for so generously sharing his time and knowledge with us."
